Steps to reproduce:
- open any Qt-Widgets project in QtCreator
- double-click the mainwindow.ui (or similar) file in file hierarchy view on the left, so that the ui designer would appear
-> qtcreator crashes
Output:
% LC_ALL=C qtcreator :(
Cannot mix incompatible Qt library (version 0x50501) with this library (version 0x50600)
/usr/bin/qtcreator: line 2: 3023 Aborted (core dumped) QT_LOGGING_TO_CONSOLE=1 qtcreator-bin $@
I first noticed the problem yesterday. I'm not sure when this broke though, because I didn't use the UI designer in the last weeks. But it's likely related to the last updates of qt5 and qtcreator on 2016-03-28:

That... and https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=210622
So go uninstall qt5-quick1 just like those threads suggest, and you will be fine. Moving right along...

Yes, that solves the problem. Thank you for the hint and sorry for not searching the forum well enough.
