I installed xfce4 recently, using lightdm as display manager and login manager, and light-locker to manage locking
I have an issue with my mouse cursor, if I let my laptop to lock automatically or use command
light-locker-command -l To lock, when I come back i have no mouse cursor, i have mouse but it is invisible, i can see icons reaction by moving the mouse, but no cursor
If I logout manually (not locking) and login again, i have cursor again!
It is really annoying! Can anyone help me?

I don't have a solution, but you might mention what video hardware you are using and which driver you are using for it.

I have exactly the same issue on my Lenovo T460 with an Intel integrated GPU.
00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Skylake Integrated Graphics (rev 07) (prog-if 00 [VGA controller])
Subsystem: Lenovo Device 5053
Flags: bus master, fast devsel, latency 0, IRQ 127

No cursor after lock is annoying, but I also get frequent crashes/freezes coming out of standby.

This is a problem with xorg-server 1.18.2. It is reported (with a workaround) here: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=94677

yes, thanks
hope this be fixed in updates ![]()

I've uninstalled xf86-video-intel and removed /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/20-intel.conf; let's see if this changes anything.

This works like a charm! No more freezes, and always a cursor ![]()
Can anyone using the Intel driver post their chrome://gpu acceleration information?

Scrolling works perfect here; I did disable that sluggish "smooth scroll" nonsense.
I also don't feel the need for a boot animation/graphic, so I disabled that too ![]()

Okay, but... What video driver are you using? fbdev?
You might check the output of glxinfo (part of mesa-demos). You might be less than thrilled with the results.
tl;dr This is fine for troubleshooting, but no a good solution.

Probably the "modesetting" driver, which has some support for OpenGL too.

This:

And glxinfo has an output of 379 lines, of which I only understand "direct rendering: Yes" ![]()
