Suspend / reboot issues (Samsung Series 7 Ultra)

Hi guys,

Yesterday i make a post about this issue in the Newbie corner (https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=211211)  but perhaps it suits better here...

As the post in the link above suggests, I very often find myself unable to reboot or suspend my computer using the systemctl suspend and reboot commands. The computer is a Samsung Series 7 Ultra 740U3E and I had the same problems while I was running Debian.

Sometimes it works flawlessly but most of the time the commands are simply not being executed with the desired effect.

Perhaps someone here can point me in the right direction? I thought maybe a BIOS update could do the trick but really it's just speculation.
