alsa devices disappeared on Intel hda baytrail

I have an intel atom z36xx sound card that is refusing to show up anymore.

I got thedebug info from the script given here:

I used to at least have sound from the headphones, but after a recent update I get nothing at all:

aplay -l

null
    Discard all samples (playback) or generate zero samples (capture)
pulse
    PulseAudio Sound Server
default
    Default ALSA Output (currently PulseAudio Sound Server)

lspci -v|grep -i AUDIO

well I've never heard these speakers make a sound under linux, and the headphones were working a few days ago so this certainly could be related

i'll install LTS and give that a shot as well

thanks WorMzy!  I know I typed a better title than that originally, no clue how it got truncated to just 'intel'
