It took me a long time, but is it possible to change to sysfs? I think so, you just need to adjust the bootscripts. I want the new sysfs, and no devfs is this possible, and if it is, what needs to be modified to make the system bootable.

We're looking into this option for the default Archlinux setup... no idea how far along it is though.
