A new "Mini" install ISO/Image

I find myself downloading the Arch ISO more often than not and it has made me wonder why Arch doesn't have a socalled "Mini" iso. Most distros have one even the *BSD's do. I like I bet many users do an online install getting all of the packages from one of the mirror sites and not from the installation medium  Before people complain I wouldn't mind putting the work in for it.

All of them do. Arch only has a net-install option..

Re: A new "Mini" install ISO/Image

You can find this "mini" ISO here https://releng.archlinux.org/pxeboot/ it's just 1.0MB wink

Never tried it myself though.

Anyone have a link to the actual kernel/initrd that pxe iso will be downloading... (or does it actually load the full iso, that would be silly)

might be a better option to grab those directly and then load them with a regular bootloader. That's what I do for the Debian netinst, it's the same thing as but smaller than their mini iso...

I'll just drop this link here. I hope it will help. https://releng.archlinux.org/pxeboot/bo … 64.inc.cfg
