Hi, after my reboot today i found myself in the incapacity to start xfce.
I usually log from basic prompt then do "exec xfce4" to launch xfce and be on my desktop.
But when i do that i got send back to the prompt.
I changed the kernel from which i boot but that didn't solve anything so i assume the error is directly on my system.
Though i don't understand what is going on since all i did recently what playing with libvirt and my virtual machine, the only thing i did in my system was removing a mounted drive from fstab and it was a data drive with the sole purpose of storing my vm image. (it has nothing to do with /boot /root or /home)
Could someone help me figure out what is going on?
Thanks

See: The Wiki.
The correct way to start Xfce4 is:
startxfce4
With an exec if in your .xinitrc.

Didn't work for me.
What worked was solution proposed here :

Have exec startxfce4 in my .xinitrc (which i already had) and use "startx" when i boot.
What i don't understand is why now, i've been launching my desktop the same way for two weeks and it was working just fine
