XDM Theme path

Hello,

ich habe installed xdm.
Then I ran :

systemctl enable xdm.service

Then I installed this AUR Package xdm-arch-theme.
After that I run:

xdm -config /etc/X11/xdm/arch-xdm/

But after I restart, there was the normal xdm theme.
So what must I set that this work correctly?

Thanks

Re: XDM Theme path

As I understand it, XDM needs to be run with the -config /etc/X11/xdm/arch-xdm/ argument each time it's started.

The xdm.service file just runs /usr/bin/xdm -nodaemon. I think what you need to do is disable xdm.service, then create a new service file based on xdm.service which runs xdm with the -config arg and then enable that.
