I have the following block in pacman.conf : "IgnorePkg = linux linux-headers"
I needed to block upgrade to kernel 4.5 that doesn't like my amd radeon graphic card.
But since I have installed gnome-software, it pops up asking to upgrade the kernel to 4.5 ???
Is that a known problem with gnome-software ???

AFAIK, gnome-software doesn't use pacman, so it's not going to read pacman.conf.

Like Scimmia said, gnome software uses packagekit to talk directly to alpm (arch Linux package manager), and pacman is never used. Aka, pacman.conf is useless for gnone-software
I don't really know what I'm doing.

Did you try setting IgnorePkg in /etc/PackageKit/alpm.d/pacman.conf?
If I'm not mistaken, PackageKit should use that file, and it should accept any pacman.conf options.
Nevertheless, instead of blocking the kernel update, you should switch to using linux-lts so you'll get updates to the 4.4 kernel.

Thanks for the advice! That's exactly what I did. I'll wait some time for 4.5. I'll just wait for a solution for the AMD/Radeon problem.
