Plank config file

I've just install plank and plank-config and I have problem:

When I'm trying start plank-config via terminal I see this:

** (plank-config:1855): ERROR **: plank-config.vala:102: Plank config file could not be found!
[1]    1855 trace trap (core dumped)  plank-config

I can't handle with this error. I would be glad if you help me guys smile

Re: Plank config file

Well, it seems pretty self evident; no config file or no read access to it...

Moving to NC.

Re: Plank config file

Quick update.

Location of the plank config file is here:

so if you just do the following and save an empty file the plank-config will work:

nano ~/.config/plank/dock1/settings

then ctrl+x then Y Enter you will be fine.  Kind of odd that there is no file generated upon install.

Re: Plank config file

That's not particularly good advice. First, it won't work unless ~/.config/plank/dock1/ exists. Second, there's no need to invoke an editor.

$ mkdir -p ~/.config/plank/dock1
$ touch ~/.config/plank/dock1/settings

But whether the Constitution really be one thing, or another, this much is certain - that it has either authorized such a government as we have had, or has been powerless to prevent it. In either case, it is unfit to exist.

Re: Plank config file

Well, being in the NC I would assume the people with this problem aren't specifying custom names or locations for their plank docks, so the directory already exists, second, that's cool to know about touch, third, plank-config should probably be depreciated anyway because it doesn't propagate the changes, and ctrl+right click will give you a menu to reach the plank preferences which will allow you to make changes.
