Interim solution add to pgkbuild:

validpgpkeys=('914C533DF9B2ADA2204F586D78E11C6B279D5C91')

This id for 'curl-7.38.0' PGP key

Hi jose1711!

Are you aware that libcurl-gnutls and libcurl-compat (maintained by evana) are in conflict?

It seems both packages write the libcurl-gnutls.so.3 simlink.

Packages like Desura and Spotify which use libcurl-compat as dependency can't be installed while libcurl-gnutls is.

Cheers.

jose1711 commented on 2015-12-30 14:15
@amonobeax

thank you, conflict added

ryuzy commented on 2016-02-18 13:16
there is an update and the conflict can be removed because libcurl-compat no more create the symlink libcurl-gnutls.so.3

Re: [SOLVED]missing libcurl-gnutls.so.4: no such file or directory

There's no mention of libcurl-gnutls on the ygopro aur page, but libcurl-compat is a dependency.

Did you build/install libcurl-compat  before building/installing ygopro ?

Did you use the guided installer ? If yes, I can't help you.

You don't know if you installed curl or not? Or libcurl-compat or not? How did you install Arch?

What is the output of:

pacman -Qs libcurl-compat

Re: [SOLVED]missing libcurl-gnutls.so.4: no such file or directory

zoeid,

then please rebuild ygopro (i recommend using makepkg for that) .

I checked on my own system (x86_64)  and it builds fine with just libcurl-compat installed.
After you have installed ygoporo , check your menus , there should be a ygopro entry in the games section.

Re: [SOLVED]missing libcurl-gnutls.so.4: no such file or directory

When you build libcurl-gnutls find config.log somewhere in the build directory and post it here

Hmm, post your /etc/pacman.conf

Well, you just built it succesfully with makepkg, now why don't you just install it with pacman -U --asdeps yourpkg.tar.xz

Re: [SOLVED]missing libcurl-gnutls.so.4: no such file or directory

It doesn't matter which curl libs are installed when the package is built, as nothing is compiled or linked: this is a precompiled binary package (but it is lacking the required -bin suffix). The machine it was built (and linked) on has a lib file that does not exist in archlinux.  The right solution would be to get the source and rebuild it properly.  Some people might try to symlink a lib which might work if it's the right version - but is, in general, a very bad idea.  A middle ground might be to use LD_PRELOAD to load a compatible libcurl before running the program.  The ldd output of the binary would help for this (I'm downloading it now, but it seems to be quite large - edit: oops, I can't get ldd output from a 32-bit binary on a 64-bit system, or at least I don't know how to).

It looks like there is already other symlinking in the package function - but I think this will only create links within the $pkgdir which will be broken when the package is installed.

I tihnk something else may be happening.

Zoeid, try running /opt/ygopro/ygopro.sh

Did you use the guided installer ? If yes, I can't help you.

Re: [SOLVED]missing libcurl-gnutls.so.4: no such file or directory

Install the packages, then run `ldd /opt/bin/ygopro/ygopro32` and post the output here.

You also definitely need to learn how to use pacman, get rid of yaourt, and most definitely get rid of that wasps nest of broken crap archlinuxfr.

EDIT: I just realized that the existing PKGBUILD not only lacks the -bin suffix, and makes broken symlinks in the package, it also installs both 32-bit and 64-bit bins regardless of the system it's being installed on, and it installs a bunch of irrelevant readme type files, and it gives every single thing in the whole bundle 0777 permissions.  This is just one disaster after another.

I just used archlinuxfr to get yaourt, I wasnt able to get it in other way... as I remember...
what I have to edit in pkbuild of ygopro?

I'll give another reinstall of ygopro.tar.gz using makepkg -s

Re: [SOLVED]missing libcurl-gnutls.so.4: no such file or directory

Lone_Wolf, good catch, the bash script is already using LD_PRELOAD, but that is for a different lib.  There are two links to curl-related libraries, that only handles one of them.

The ldd output will tell us what needs to be added to that script.

Re: [SOLVED]missing libcurl-gnutls.so.4: no such file or directory

This is sad, you just need enter the directory where you built libcurl-gnutls and install the package (pacman -U *.xz)

Re: [SOLVED]missing libcurl-gnutls.so.4: no such file or directory

*Headdesk*

After looking through all the output provided in this thread, I think I assumed far too much and ugjka is almost certainly right.  There are still countless horrible ideas bundled into this package, but his suggestion may make it run.  If it does, you really need to spend some time on the second paragraph of post #17: how you've managed to use archlinux for 5 years without ever properly using the package manager is beyond me.  I suspect you're actually not using arch, but rather some derivative distro.

Don't post full size images

Re: [SOLVED]missing libcurl-gnutls.so.4: no such file or directory

That image only showed that you have not read our forum guidelines.  It also makes me more skeptical: if you think that posting a screenshot of some desktop UI is evidence that you installed arch and not some spin-off distro, I suspect you don't even know what is archlinux and what is not.

In any event, this is going nowhere.

Closed.
