War Thunder in steam

Hello everyone. Does anyone play war thunder on steam on arch?
I started playing it about a week ago, but can only get it to load with the graphic settings set to "old graphic card support" . if that setting isn't on, then the game crashes after login.
Any idea how I can fix it? Can't find any thing like this online

Is there any downside to enabling the old graphic card support setting?

Yeah, you have to run the game at its lowest graphic settings, so it doesn't look very nice.
