[SOLVED] Headphones detected, but can not hear anything through them

The title pretty much says it all. I am using a Dell xps 13, on the latest Kernel (4.5.2) and I am using pavucontrol control sound.  My speakers work great and it says it picks up headphones when they are plugged in, and the GUI will show sound being played out to them However I can not hear anything from the actual headphones. I am beginning to think perhaps the audio jack is broken. Alsamixer says that me headphones are not muted so I am at a loss at what the issue could be.

In alsamixer, the device broadwell-rt286 has HPO_L and HPO_R unmuted? What about HPO Mux, is it set to front?

Wow, it was set to surround, switching it to front made it work. Thank you so much! I have been having this problem for months but the arch community saves the day as always. Such asimple solution makes me feel kinda dumb, but I am an absolutlely clueless when it comes to audio issues.
