[SOLVED] Cannot wake up if suspended while no X server was running

Hi guys,

I have an NVidia GTX 680 and run newest kernel and drivers as of today.

There is a problem with waking up from suspend. I was able to narrow it down a bit. The system will not wake up if suspend was performed while there was no X server running. It will hang during the kernel boot being completely unresponsive. Even Num Lock key is not working, the display will quickly loose the signal and will switch itself off. There is nothing I can do, since the kernel will not finish booting. For example I cannot log in with ssh.

I do not want to have X running since this computer is going to be used as server. Do you have any ideas how could I debug the issue further? What difference a running X server can do, maybe I can reproduce it when it is not running?

Thanks!

Re: [SOLVED] Cannot wake up if suspended while no X server was running

The problem is solved now. The wake up works normally after I enabled https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/NV … de_setting

Hope it will save some time for you guys!
