Systemwide package integrity verifier

I seem to remember, probably years ago, someone posting a simple script that checked all the packages on your system to make sure they were intact.

Does anyone have that program? Has it been maintained? I'd like to get the best current version of it and package it up, if that hasn't already been done. It's invaluable to be able to check that your system is intact after, say, disk or memory corruption.
