Reverse behavior of function keys

Hello, when I use xev to see what keys I'm pressing, pressing the f9 key results in "f9" being pressed, and pressing fn + f9 gives me "xf68AudioPlay". I would like to reverse this, so I get xf86AudioPlay when I press this key, and f9 when I hold down fn and press this key. Thanks.

Re: Reverse behavior of function keys

You don't say, but I'm guessing this is a notebook computer of some sort. In my experience, this is a setting that is most likely in the startup bios; I've had the function key battle with several notebooks. You might have to google your specific brand of computer to figure out the setting because it can be obscure and counterintuitive sometimes.
Your DE or what ever you are running your apps with might also have a way to make the FN shifting key sticky, so check its wiki.
