Problems with i3blocks in 4.4.5-1 [solved]

So after upgrading to 4.4.5-1 and performing a hard reboot my status bar only displays the current media, wifi percentage and date and all other blocks  like space in the home directory, ip address and volume have gone missing. After running i3blocks in shell I get text to stdout with much of that info including seperator placement but it still doesn't show in the actual status bar, any ideas as to what is going wrong?

Yeah so it turns out I'm just a drunk idiot and I somehow deleted my config file last night... nothing to see here.
