Hexchat not saving servers list config file
I've had this issue for several months now, and I'm at a dead end finding the cause.
My Hexchat client doesn't want to write to it's servlist.conf file to save servers. If I rename the file, no new file is generated. As far as I can tell this isn't a permissions issue, as all other config files for the client are saved normally.
After running an strace on the client, the output shows no attempt at all made to write to the file.

Aaand now I find the issue. Seems in the past, the stored choices for usernames was case sensitive, whereas that has since changed. Since my first choice was the same as the second, but with different capitalization, it would silently fail. Changing the names corrected the issue.
