When external keyboard is plugged, laptop keyboard stops working

Hi folks,
I have Lenovo Thinkpad X230. I often use it with Trust wireless keyboard. However, sometimes I need to unplug it and use standard laptop keyboard. But whenever I plug in the external keyboard, laptop keyboard stops working even if I unplug the external keyboard. I have to reboot to get it working again. No messages in dmesg. Could you please direct me where to look? I do not have big experience with Xserver configuration. I am running Gnome Shell.

Anything in the journal?
What happens at the console ?  (Don't start a windows environment)
