Hi,
I installed this arc linux to check it out and now I have something very odd.
Setup is arch with gnome
all works well but just this I can not figure out.
I can connect to a wifi with the network manager
But not to my home router.
My SSID has spaces in it, IDK if that causes any trouble.
Whatsoever I can connect to my home network using wifi-menu or to another made up hotspot through my phone.
All my devices can connect to my homenetwork nothing wrong with that though.
Any suggestions?

Connect manually and post error messages.

Does adding \ before the space change anything if you connect via the terminal?
Command is "nmcli dev wifi connect <SSID> password <Networks password>"
That's the one I use because wifi-menu keeps failing for me fsr. Not sure why.
Wew lads... that is all...

Thanks for the answers,
nmcli said; "Error: Connection activation failed: (5) IP configuration could not be reserved (no available address, timeout, etc.)."
When I set a static IP address it connects.
The Router logs show Authentication Error. -> Well the pass it correct.
Seems to be a dhcp issue then eventhough NM connects to my Phone hotspot.
<warn> [1463993949.6616] dhcp4 (wlo1): request timed out
Well for now I leave that static then
Thanks

I kept getting this last night on a new install. I really never figured out why. I had installed Arch on a new machine (Intel Wireless wifi card) and it worked. The next day when going to add the DE, etc. wifi didn't work. After messing with it for a couple of hours and trying to manually connect, etc. and getting the same as you, I booted from the install media so I could chroot in with Wifi from the boot media. The network DIDN'T work from the install media!
I rebooted the router and everything worked fine. Go figure?!?
rebooted without the install media (back to my new install from the night before) and everything worked. I normally don't use NetworkManager, but ConnMan, so I installed that. Unfortunately that was giving me some error message about a parameter not specified when trying to connect. I left NetworkManager for now and it is currently working. YMMV.
(I am still monitoring this issue though. I don't know exactly what could be causing the issue. I sometimes get "p2p_dev_wlp2s0..." errors from wpa_supplicant like what happened when wpa_supplicant went from 2.3 to 2.5.1, but this stuff was supposed to be fixed in 2.5.2.)

The old "Have you tried turning it off and back on again" helped here too.
Well lets see what the next startup gives us then.
My arch uses the same MAC as my PC I usually use since it is connected via USB on an SSD Drive.
Maybe that confused the router?
