xdrawchem and automake

Hello everybody,

I want to install xdrawchem 1.9.9. I downloaded it from sourceforge.net and tried to install it. it doesnt bring an own Makefile. Just Makefile.am and Makefile.in are available. I tried to use automake but it doesnt generate a makefile. Does someone know how to solve this?
