Network Manager Applet nuisances

The network manager applet in systray stays like trying to connect icon after one/some suspend-resume cycle.  When it stays like this, I cannot select another wireless network, but can enable/disable the wireless card.
The only thing to get it back to normal is by doing

systemctl restart NetworkManager

This is how it looks upon a fresh start or after restarting NetworkManager: 6cR7Gpk.png
Anyone else experiencing this or know how this can be fixed?

Edit: Even when the nm applet displays the connecting icon, the connection to wireless network is established; it just picks the available one and connects to it.  The wireless network cannot be changed/chosen, though.

Re: Network Manager Applet nuisances

Sounds like networkmanager bug, rather than issue with applet. If it was working fine previously try downgrading networkmanager to previous version.
