Hi there, I have a problem with my lenovo laptop, which runs arch for two years now...
My problem is, that systemd seems to crash/freeze during boot.
This happens with an Arch-USB-Live-Stick as well.
However, I am able to boot with an Ubuntu-Live-Stick and chroot into my system.
I read that other people have this problem, too, and they report that downgrading systemd to 228-4 solved their problem.
I downgraded systemd using "downgrade":
# downgrade systemd
... and I selected systemd-228-4 (remote).
All went through as expected.
My problem is:
If I reboot my system, it still says "systemd starting version 229.", leaving me with a frozen system.
If I boot Ubuntu, chrrot into my system and try to downgrade again, it says: systemd-228-4 is already installed".
If I reboot my system, it still says "Starting version 229".
My question is:
Is there anything else I need to do in order to downgrade systemd from 229-3 to 228-4?
Greetings

Regenerate your initramfs
mkinitcpio -p linux

I downgraded systemd using "downgrade":
Is that from the AUR? Just curious as I thought this was an ARM utility.

Yes, it's in the AUR.
