[solved] Forum thread missing?

Hi,
I seem to remember a What's your PS1? thread here on the archforum, the way I am sure is that there is a link to it on the archwiki Bash/Prompt_customization page, however I can no longer find it, I used the forum search and google but found nothing, am I going blind or stupid, was it deleted or merged, if so why as it was a very usefull thread?

Edit: OK, hmm It is there now, five minutes after I last checked, I guess glitch in the matrix, pls disregard this thread, closing.

Edit2: The thread is unsearchable and unacessible if not logged into the forum, it just throws:
Info - Bad request. The link you followed is incorrect or outdated.
Is that by design, I thought the archforum was open on all topics to everyone no matter if not logged in?

What? You put a link to it in your own post. What is it you are looking for if not exactly what you linked to?

I am confused. The thread exists (you linked to it), and has a post from January. Do you mean you can't find the thread in a search?

Try searching for "PS1" and select "topic subject only" -- when I do this the thread is the second hit in the results.

Yes I did that, it didnt came up, but now it works.

Now I see that the whole try this section is acessible on when loged in. Is this new?

Most of it is, but certain subforums are not.

Only the technical subfourms (edit: and artwork+screenshots) are visible to anonymous users, this is by design and prevents google and co. indexing 600 pages of irrelevant poll topics.

You can change your forum display style in your profile. That makes it very visually obvious whether you're logged in or not.

I noticed that, but I like the arch theme and really dislike the other themes, but thanks for the suggestion thou.

Hmm, I cant say I care for that explanation, I mean google is not running out of datacenter space anytime soon, or did you mean that you dont want search engines displaying result irellevant for arch support and tech discussion?

Exactly, if someone searches for a problem in firefox, they don't want results like the browser poll topic cluttering up the results.

Well, if the sole purpose of the archforum is to support archers than I guess it is fine that some sections are invisible from outside.
But if it is also here to show how how nice the arch community is than not so much, as for example someone like me searching for cool PS1 stuff and seeing that the arch forum has much more to offer than just support.

Anyway sorry for ranting, I guess both options are fine by me, may I just suggest more informative server error info,

use something like this: Info - You must be logged in to see this thread
That is after all the reason I thought the thread was missing
