Hi, I can't install Arch Linux because of dependencies xcb-proto.
warning: cannot resolve "xcb-proto>=1.12", a dependency of "libxcb"
:: The following package cannot be upgraded due to unresolvable dependencies:
libxcb
The xcb-proto 1.11-2 is out of date (https://www.archlinux.org/packages/extra/any/xcb-proto/), and xcb-proto 1.12-2 is in testing repo (https://www.archlinux.org/packages/test … xcb-proto/).
When do you plan to move xcb-proto 1.12-2 from testing to extra repo?

It has already been fixed. Just do another `pacman -Syu`.

Tried to upgrade this morning and ran into a dependency problem with libxcb.
warning: cannot resolve "xcb-proto>=1.12", a dependency of "libxcb"
:: The following package cannot be upgraded due to unresolvable dependencies:
libxcb
:: Do you want to skip the above package for this upgrade? [y/N] n
error: failed to prepare transaction (could not satisfy dependencies)
:: libxcb: requires xcb-proto>=1.12
Should i just install xcb-proto? It's already installed...

I don't think so. I have xcb-proto installed but it's version is 1.11-2, not 1.12-2. Also, upgrading/reinstalling xcb-proto gives nothing, 1.11-2 is installed.
It's strange, because https://www.archlinux.org/packages/extra/any/xcb-proto/ says 1.12-2 should be available to download.

Maybe your mirror is not up to date?

I ran pacman -Syu again but still no joy for me.

Can't succeed either. Tried all Poland mirrors and the Worldwide one.
Even -Syyu doesn't work.

Just wait until your mirror is synced or look for mirrors with low delay in the mirror-status list

Thanks, honestly I didn't realize that mirrors can lag that much.
We can consider this thread as solved
