Problems with texlive-bibtexextra

Hello!
I use the biblatex package in my document with multi-language bibliography. Here is the import command:

\usepackage[
backend=biber,
bibencoding=utf8,
sorting=none,
style=gost-numeric,
language=autobib,
autolang=other,
clearlang=true,
defernumbers=true,
sortcites=true,
]{biblatex}[2014/06/25]

The problem is, when I try to compile the document, I get the following errors:

Package biblatex Info: Trying to load language 'russian' -> 'russian-gost'...
Package biblatex Info: ... file 'russian-gost.lbx' found.

(/usr/share/texmf-dist/tex/latex/biblatex-gost/russian-gost.lbx
File: russian-gost.lbx 2015/05/02 v1.3 biblatex-gost styles
Package biblatex Info: Trying to load language 'russian'...
Package biblatex Info: ... file 'russian.lbx' found.

(/usr/share/texmf-dist/tex/latex/biblatex/lbx/russian.lbx
File: russian.lbx 2015/10/21 v3.1 biblatex localization (PK/JW/AB)

Try typing  <return>  to proceed.
If that doesn't work, type X <return> to quit.

As far as I understand, the /usr/share/texmf-dist/tex/latex/biblatex/lbx/russian.lbx file from the texlive-bibtexextra package causes the problem. Is it a bug in the package, or a configuration error? How can I fix it?

Erm, truncated logs are relatively useless... But from what you did post, you seem to have undefined Japanese language variables: fromjapanese and langjapenese. See if remove/defining those fixes anything.

Yeah, they are used in that russian.lbx file. I could just delete those lines, and it would solve the problem until the next update, but I am no fan of such solutions.

Re: Problems with texlive-bibtexextra

@kakosf, thank you! So, it is really an upstream biblatex bug. The workaround worked, so the problem is solved.
