Problem with latest freerdp 1:1.2.0_20160606-1

Hello, world! :-D
With latest freerdp:

pacman -Ss freerdp
community/freerdp 1:1.2.0_20160606-1 [installed: 1:1.2.0_20160107-6]
    Free RDP client

there's no RDP protocol. Reboot didn't help so I've downgraded it to shown version and now works fine.

I'm using remmina:

pacman -Ss remmina
community/remmina 1:1.2.0rcgit.12-1 [installed]
    remote desktop client written in GTK+

which is in latest version, according to pacman.

Help, please? :-)

I just tried to take remote desktop connection to our Windows servers but remmina no longer lists RDP as supported connection method.
This worked just fine yesterday so I'm a bit puzzled why it lost support for it now.
I did update this morning and it updated the freerdp package so I'd guess that is causing this.

Any idea how to get RDP support back to remmina?

Definitely looks related to freerdp package. I can confirm the fault and in addition report that Vinagre (GNOME's Remote Desktop app) fails to start due to missing "libfreerdp.so.2.0".

In fact, launching remmina from Terminal returns a similar result:

Failed to load plugin: /usr/lib/remmina/plugins/remmina-plugin-rdp.so.
Error: libfreerdp.so.2.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

I'll attempt to submit a bug report.

As a sidenote - creating three required symlinks (libfreerdp.so.2.0, libfreerdp-client.so.2.0, libwinpr.so.1.1) allows remmina to load rdp plugin but it crashes on most actions (e.g. connecting, cancelling the connection dialog).

There is a reason why the version number is different, also it's a bad idea to mess with the filesystem. The reason is after the problem is properly solved you will have those stray symlinks staying behind in the filesystem, which you will surely forget about and will most probably cause hard to debug problems later on.

Updates have been pushed out for both Vinagre and Remmina, both seem to be working now.
