Dell Inspiron 15 7559 gnome freeze at login

Hey guys I have faced a problem with my new installation of arch linux on Dell Inspiron 15 7559 it have Intel i7 cpu 6th generation, 4k display and Nvidia graphics.
I believe I have all the necessary libs, and I don't want to use the Nvidia graphics so I have not installed any drives for it.
I have tried

startx

It shows this then dots and it never finishes:

waiting for xserver to begin accepting connections

a lot of times this message disappears too

nouveau pci: failed to adjust inkctl speed

My kernel is:

4.5.4-1-ARCH

what I have installed:

xorg-server xorg-server-utils xorg-xinit xorg-twm xorg-xclock xterm xf86-video-intel xf86-video-ati mesa-libgl lib32-mesa-libgl xf86-input-synaptics gnome gnome-extra

Those commands keep running forever and it shows no output:

Xorg :0 -configure

Same thing with:

lspci

Also I have tried this too:
https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/in … ke_support

/etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/20-intel.conf

Section "Device"
	Identifier "Intel Graphics"
	Driver "intel"
	Option "DRI"	"false"
EndSection

Same thing nothing changed.

I can't really figure it out, I really hope to be able to use arch Linux on this laptop.

Those commands keep running forever and it shows no output:

Xorg :0 -configure

Same thing with:

lspci

Also I have tried this too:
https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/in … ke_support

/etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/20-intel.conf

Section "Device"
	Identifier "Intel Graphics"
	Driver "intel"
	Option "DRI"	"false"
EndSection

Same thing nothing changed

Re: Dell Inspiron 15 7559 gnome freeze at login

Stop bumping your post.

You have nvidia card but you didn't installed nouveau or nvdia drivers.
Nouveau will not work on gnome because of 3d acceleration.

Read xorg wiki.

Read xorg wiki.

I don't want to run on nvidia graphics I want to run on intel hd graphics for maximum battery life.

Re: Dell Inspiron 15 7559 gnome freeze at login

Use the ArchCd and check your

lspci

I don't know why there is no output.
Take a look at bumblebee

Aha... Now that is probably why there was no output on your first attempts of lspci.
System was freaked out for some reason on hardware...

You have to find a way to disable the nvidia card, otherwise install nouveau.
