Though this happens on 4.6.2, 4.6.1 and 4.5.4 as well.

messages on my USB to Gigabit ethernet adapters after in which the link state either hangs or dies (the adapter stays connected but no longer transmit data or it completely goes down). I've tried it with 2 different RealTek adapters (one is brand new, chipset: RealTek RTL8153) the other is a "Dell USB-C to Ethernet (PXE Boost)" one. Both plugged into different USB ports (one into a USB type-C port and the other into a USB 3.0 type A port).

System: Dell XPS 15 (9550)
CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6700HQ CPU @ 2.60GHz

Re: [Ethernet R8152] USB-Ethernet adapter dies out over time

Issue seem to be resolved with the latest BIOS and Thunderbolt driver updates.

Re: [Ethernet R8152] USB-Ethernet adapter dies out over time

I still have this problem. It's solved by the new realtek driver. I made a DKMS package on AUR: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/r8152-dkms/

Re: [Ethernet R8152] USB-Ethernet adapter dies out over time

HI all,
I try a 2.07.0 driver from realteek website on kernel 2.5.5 and no luck, NETDEV WATCHDOG still occurs :-( Do You have any idea what to doo ? on what kernel version and driver module You have succeeded ?
