Hello. I was able to get auto-type to work with each key using the Ctrl+V hotkey, but Ctrl+Alt+A does not work even when the following conditions for it to work are satisfied:
1. focus is on first text field (in this case, the username)
2. Key entry is named with a string contained in the window title
And when I say it "doesn't work", I mean there isn't even any sort of response showing a failed attempt at auto-typing. The blinking cursor in the text field just stares right back at me blankly.
I see that someone has a similar issue but seems to associate it with their DE here. I use xfce4 with openbox as my window manager. Also, per the wiki, I have xdotool and xsel installed as well. I've attempted this with the three versions in the main arch repo as indicated in the subject title and even tested it for signs of life in a couple text editors(Gedit and Emacs). Any help would be much appreciated.
I think that I covered all the bases without being overly chatty/verbose. But if I left anything out, please don't hesitate to let me know. Thank you!

It works for me with keepassx2 and openbox - eg for arch forums my autotype settings are:

thank you! I think I narrowed my search too much by limiting my terms to "global keepass[x/2]". Per the official doc, the hotkey seemed to be fixed to ctrl+alt+a with no blinking cursor in the global autotype key field when in focus, so thanks for clearing that up.
I'm now having specific issues with configuring keepassx2's auto-type preference for teamviewer as I set it up to move from {username}{enter}{enter} for the first window (title = "Teamviewer") and then {password}{enter} for the window (window title = "Teamviewer authentication") that pops up upon entering my username. I had also tested with {delay1000} between windows to no avail. Again, I researched using the three keepass versions that I have installed and the first one is the only one with an "advanced" tab. Unfortunately, global autotype doesn't seem to work out of the box and "keepass --help" didn't really give me the information needed as I went as far as following its advice on typing in the cli "keepass -auto-type" to enable the global hotkey to no effect.
