I also have the same problem, here's the output from my konsole:

braindump(2300): Communication problem with  "braindump" , it probably crashed. 
Error message was:  "org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.NoReply" : " "Message recipient disconnected from message bus without replying" "

Braindump is essentially dead and will be removed in the upcoming calligra 3. So I wouldn't hope for a fix any time soon.
