Because of https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/To … nder_GNOME and as per https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Libinput I installed xf86-input-libinput for the X environment.
This turned the mousewheel scroll direction upside down. When I scroll the mousewheel down, the screen scrolls up, and vice versa. When I switch to Wayland, the scroll direction is correct and as before.
So
1. Is this a bug?
2. With which command or config can I restore the right direction under X?

Ah, this is the "natural scroll direction" in the settings, never mind. The description to it is confusing.

Hi i think its your config.
Please check your Pounter Device in your config /usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d
If there, you have the "natuaral scroll direction" and u have to set up the parameters to maybe 1. Or delete the options.
Option "VertScrollDelta" "-1"
Option "HorizScrollDelta" "-1"
Option "DialDelta" "-1"Offline

I never really got why it is called "natural scrolling" (I think the wording came originally from Apple). It is like calling the Moonwalk "natural walking".
