Plasma on wayland started and worked rather fine with Qt 5.6.1 (I am actually writing this post from a wayland session). After upgrading to Qt 5.7 I get a black screen after logging in (from SDDM). This is on Skylake Intel graphics (HD 530).

Can confirm that it works much better.  Very, very close to daily driver, IMO.  My primary issue is that systemsettings crashes all over the place.

Sytemsettings and Kinfocenter crash like crazy, but two things that prevent me from using Plasma on Wayland are:
1. weird keyboard behaviour, for some reason it won't accept 3 button shortcuts (like ctrl + alt + something),
2. no working video player. Was having high hopes for MPV at least, but --vo=wayland does not work, and dare you use --vo=x11 it will start, but with russian roulete odds of crashing the whole session pretty quickly.
Still, it's a huge leap forward compared to 4.6

I hope that old Breeze splash and SDDM theme will be included. New one hurts my eyes with brightness and dull Windows 10 style.

Anyone having any issues with power management on a laptop? My P50 is no longer suspending when the lid is closed/etc, and it seemed to happen right after the beta update.

Does Wayland work with dual monitor yet ?

Edit : just tried, it works better than on 5.6 but still far from usable.

Indeed it now started. Wayland works pretty good!! I'd say, as kwin dev said in his blog, that with frameworks 5.24 will be in really good shape.
Plasma 5.8 can lead to a really usable plasma session

plasma 5.7 + qt 5.7 WORKING LIKE A CHARM on Broadwell.
Graphical glitches have gone (hope forever)
I can say I haven't encountered any bug after almost two weeks of daily usage.
Absolutely fundamental was to remove plasma 5.6 cache files in ~/.cache (desktop behaved buggy, removing cache and config resulted in a shiny and neat desktop. Devs should address this problem upstream).

This it the time to jump in Plasma 5, fear not!
Great. And now it's time to improve KDE applications like we were in 2016.
plasma 5.8 will be the Wayland release, if only SDDM will be a Wayland application by then..

found that:
- on Intel i3-5005U, if DRI3 is enabled, Kwin EGL backend works without glitches
- logging out from Plasma Wayland session into SDDM = black screen of death

Unfortunately FPS games are unplayable on Wayland, as there is no pointer locking.

I tried kdeconnect-git from AUR, made sure that android app is fully updated, no luck. I just can't figure out what cert is it complaining about.

EDIT: Fixed. If you get the same, delete ~/.config/kdeconnect, kill kdeconnectd, then use kdeconnect-cli to pair the devices.

With pulse 9.0 in testing, yes, it works for me. It's just that with Cantata, being backed by MPD, misses the icon in the audio menu, so you can't move streams by d'n'd.
Try, to wipe pulse config files in your /home dir. Often deleting config / caches solves problems.

I see. Yeah it seems to work for me only with applications that show icons. Teamspeak3 for example, doesn't work.

I think Framework 5.24 is really needed to Plasma 5.7, let's see at the weekend.
