I was looking through the gog-* packages today and noticed some of them are orphans. As I own "the witcher 2" on gog and its PKGBUILD is horribly outdated and orphaned, I think about maintaining it for the time.
( I am downloading the files as I speak and maybe I will put a review request later on today, but the files are quite big - 20GB )
Anyways, reading through the existing PKGBUILD, some questions popped up in my head, some that are better answered before the PKGBUILD is released:
Do you prefer installing these games to
/opt/$pkgname
or to
/opt/gog/$pkgname
Do you prefer starting the game configurator with
$pkgname --configurator
or with
$pkgname-configurator
I would probably go with the first both times, but as the PKGBUILD is currently using the second I wanted to ask the community.
EDIT:
I just found that if you only modify the start.sh script and dont just create another wrapper start script, the configurator or whatever config tool is included is available via
$pkgname -g
or
$pkgname --config
