[KDE] desktop shortcut + favourites linked to a network ?

Hi guys,

this title is weird but the behaviour is weird too.

Let's say that I have a wired connection. If I setup my favourites (in the application launcher) or add software shortcuts on the launcher, They stay there when I restart my computer. If I unplug the ethernet cable, all this setup disappears and I get back an empty desktop without favourites or app launcher until I plug my ethernet cable again.

I am writing this from my work laptop. If I use my work laptop at home, I have the same scenario (blank desktop without app launcher and shortcut).

All this setup seems to be linked to my network connection at a certain time and I find it really weird.

Is that normal behaviour ? How can I disable this ?

Thank you.

Either your $HOME is on a network share and it can only load the data from there, or you didn't set a static hostname

My home is on my SSD in my computer so it is not that.

I reset the hostname but I doubt it was that because I have this config in my zshrc

PS1='[%F{yellow}%*%f - %F{green}%n@%m:%~%f]% $ '

and I could always see the correct hostname (arch).

I'll see if the reset changes anything.

Thanks.
