I'm trying to use vim-like movement keys in mutt, but shifted to the right like in i3, so kl for down/up instead of jk.
To do so, i need to remap the 'l' key, which is bound to the limit command... but I can't.
I tried to
bind pager i limit
bind pager k next-line
bind pager l previous-line
but when I press 'i', mutt tells me that the key is not bound and when I press 'l' it launches the limit command instead of going to the previous line

Make sure that your muttrc is getting sourced properly.

I'm quite sure is getting sourced. Every other changes does have effect.
Here is my muttrc: https://arin.ga/gpdyD7
It's a stripped down and modified version of this: https://bitbucket.org/jasonwryan/centur … ew-default

Are you sure you haven't confused pager and index?
I can rebind `l` to next-line in either and it works as expected...

You were right, I confused pager and index... and next/prevoius-line with next/previous-undeleted
These are the keybinds that now works for me:
bind pager k next-line
bind pager l previous-line
bind index k next-undeleted
bind index l previous-undeleted
bind pager K next-undeleted
bind pager L previous-undeleted
bind index K next-unread
bind index L previous-unread
bind index i limit
