The Cinnamon Desktop Environment usually provides an applet and an entry in Control Center to manage bluetooth.
But cinnamon-bluetooth is missing from the repos, so is the entry in System Settings.
What should I do?

The wiki suggests installing blueberry - have you tried this?

Yep, this does work but doesn't integrate so well with Cinnamon.

I had a look at building the cinnamon-bluetooth release on GitHub - unfortunately the instructions in the INSTALL file do not work (which I guess is why cinnamon-bluetooth-git in the AUR is out of date / dead). I've logged a bug asking for correct build instructions - that would allow you to create an AUR package tracking the official releases.

I'm not going to build it but with regards to the configure script, you just need to run autoreconf -fi which will automatically generate configure. Note that the cinnamon-bluetooth package provides a file called configure.ac - this is used by autoconf to generate configure. autoreconf is a helper which calls the autotools in the right order.

Thanks Chazza - new skill learnt - probably should have googled what that configure.ac file did!
@marmistrz unfortunately it still looks like you won't see a build of cinnamon-bluetooth any time soon, unless you can downgrade gnome-bluetooth:
https://github.com/linuxmint/cinnamon-b … h/issues/9
that's a rabbit hole I don't fancy going down.
