Laptop Lenovo e540 freezing randomly

Hello, how can i find why my laptop it freezes out of nowhere?
It looks like there is no hardware problem, i runned all possible tests relating to hardware, it is not overheating. I can’t find anything in logs. I don’t know where to look next.  I also checked my ssd, but has actually no errors in smart, it’s even to perfect from this point of view.
Only thing i can think of is that is something relating to a system update, because i tested it with different apps, at first i thought it was because of firefox, bu even when firefox is closed or when the app hadn't started at all from when i powered on the laptop, still freezes. Also is very randomly, i can't pinpoint any event at all that may cause this.

It works for days, then out of nowhere it starts to freeze, and usually happens a few times , and then i let it shutdown for a while then again for a few days a week doesn't happen.

Edit: Looks like a related bug with what I'm faced: https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/49966

Re: Laptop Lenovo e540 freezing randomly

thanks for the idea, i might just try it, but first i want to see if it happens again with more cooling using a cooler pad. I thought that even if my registered temps are good, maybe something on my motherboard is overheating that i can't see in the registered temps.

Define "Freezing".  Does it eventually come back?
Can you change to a different console using Ctrl-Alt-F2 (or F3 through F6)?
Are the keyboard LEDs blinking?
Can you log in via ssh?
Can you ping your box?
Is the disk access LED indicating non stop disk activity?
Does the cursor respond to mouse activity?

Re: Laptop Lenovo e540 freezing randomly

I have here the log from my last freeze, few minutes before it freezes: https://gist.github.com/physicalit/b3cc … 480797e9a4

Can't understand what is happening, there is nothing there to suggest that something was wrong... i runed all the test from bios, they all passed, and my lp did not get frozen, i eliminated any source of cooling, and is definitely not because of overheating, I'm now running antergos from a live usb, and it didn't freezed once, there is something very wrung with archlinux, this is my conclusion...
