Kernel 4.6.0: can't hibernate anymore if hdmi is connected

Hibernation worked flawlelly since yesterday, when i upgraded to  linux-4.6.0
Since then, as i try to hibernate with an external TV connected via HDMI, the screen just turns black (backlight on) and the system stays in that state forever.
If i unplug hdmi just before hitting the hibernate key, hibernation works.
This is an i3+ivybridge based laptop.

Any suggestions apart from downgrading kernel or switch to lts?

Re: Kernel 4.6.0: can't hibernate anymore if hdmi is connected

Edited the previous post, because i found that the latest working kernel was 4.5.4 and 4.6.3 is still broken for me.

-EDIT-
linux-git from aur, 4.7.0-rc6, seems to work fine.
I'll try to remember to mark this as solved if 4.7.0 will still work.
