Hi.
I've installed lib32-libpulse as recommended here.
The sound works in winecfg.
When I open winecfg, the pulseaudio device is detected and "Test sound" is played back and winecfg.exe is visible in Pavucontrol.
I've installed Skype from SkypeSetup.msi, and launch Skype like recommended in winehq
wine skype /user:user /password:passThe Skype says "Can't detect your sound card" and there is no sound, though "Audio Settings" tab in Skype Settings detects "Pulseaudio" device.
When I click "Play test sound" in Skype audio settings, the Skype does not appear in Pavucontrol and there is no sound.
Calling "Echo / Sound Test Service" hangs up immediately with a message "Problem with playback device".
I tried the same under 32 winearch, but results are literally identical.
Has anyone got it working?
Edit:
The Skype crashes instantly on Windows version 8 / 8.1. Sound works on Windows 7 but crashes in a few minutes after starting.
Works OK only in Win XP but no sound.

Since there is a native version available, I suppose most are using that (the skype package in multilib), any specific reason you can't just use that?
Looking at the WineHQ page for Skype doesn't give me much hope (the description already mentions the brokenness and the crashes that tend to happen)

I use it too but I wanted to try out Windows version which seemed working well on XP Wine except no sound.
Regarding native version, I could not join group call, embedded images not working, some smiles are shown as bold text code.
Edit: I guess it's a Wine-Skype problem and there is no solution to make it work.
