When running Xorg :0 -configure I am receiving a seg fault. I'm not quite sure what the issue is, but here is the tailing end of Xorg.0.log.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
EDIT: If it helps, I am able to start Xorg server no problem, and get into my DE. The problem is that I do not have a xorg.conf file, and I would like to make some configurations to my touchpad. I have a 70-synaptics.conf file in /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/ that I have configured for my touchpad but xorg throws me an error regarding a lack of screens set when it can't find a valid xorg.conf file. And I'd much prefer to auto-generate one than have to create one manually.

Xorg -configure wasn't very great before X had decent auto-detection, and imo only got worse over time.
maybe you configured something wrong in that 70-synaptics.conf file, please post it .
also post complete xorg log (you might want to put it on a pastebin site, check wiki)

Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.
(A works at time B) && (time C > time B ) ≠ (A works at time C)
