Did anyone have success building any of the vocal podcast manager (http://vocalproject.net/) packages from AUR? It is a quite hot project these days and it seems to be suffering from a lack of love from AUR.
I lack the time to learn how to create and upload a proper AUR package for that right now, maybe someone more knowledgeable can give it a shot?

You mean this one? https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/vocal-stable/

I tried:
- https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/vocal-bzr/
- https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/vocal-git/
- https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/vocal-stable/
I could not get any of those to compile :-(

Try building it using makepkg and post complete logs if that still fails.

Sounds like you don't have the base-devel group installed. This is required to build from a PKGBUILD.

@Scimmia: nope, I have it installed, just checked... Anyway, I reinstalled and the problem persists

@runical: I tried with makepkg also, no luck...

I just took over the main "vocal" package. I'll get it fixed up. You're right, things are a mess right now.

The vocal package should now work. The vocal-bzr and vocal-stable packages should be going away. I still need to check on vocal-git, but I've run out of time, I'll do that later.

Scimmia: As a cross check, I just tested the vocal package for you. Compiles and builds just dandy.

Cleanup is finally complete. vocal and vocal-git are the only ones left, and they should work fine.
