Cant remove Dwarf therapist application

Hey guys,

I'm probably missing something very easy, but I can't uninstall dwarf therapist after installing the yaourt package :

aur/dwarftherapist-git-qt4 1:2014.0-1 (0) (0.00)

The program is saying its installed in the applications in gnome and it runs, but when I do a yaourt -sS it's not showing up as installed. When I run pacman -Qe I get this package as saying its installed:

dwarftherapist-qt4-git 1:32.0.0.5.g90c302d10d6f-1

but I can't uninstall it using yaourt -R. I haven't tried updating or anything out of fear that might screw things up more. Any help as to how to go about getting this uninstalled would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Remove it with pacman? Post the output if this fails.

What's up with this? The former is in AUR. The latter is not. Could it be in a third-party repo, and you're trying to remove the one that's not installed?

You guys are awesome thanks for the quick responses. This is the output when i try and remove the package using pacman -R

I installed and tried both of the dwarf therapist-gtk options from the AUR. I uninstalled the first one because I couldn't get it to sync with the game. I installed the second one and this is what installed.

 dwarftherapist-qt4-git 1:32.0.0.5.g90c302d10d6f-1

I have no idea how that happened. I ended up giving up on DF though because I couldn't get Therapist to work

The situation with the package name is still unclear, but the problem seems to be* that you're putting the version number in the pacman -R command

pacman -R dwarftherapist-qt4-git 1:32.0.0.5.g90c302d10d6f-1

when you should only be providing the package name

pacman -R dwarftherapist-qt4-git

I think you need to revisit the basics...

* This is why it's adivsable to include the exact command when asked for terminal output.

Please remember to mark your thread as solved by editing your first post and amending the topic title.

EDIT: incidentally, DwarfTherapist doesn't currently have a working memory layout for the newest versions of Dwarf Fortress. You will need to wait for the memory locations to be found and added to the application, or use an older version of Dwarf Fortress for the time being.
