Auerswald telephone system

Hi!

I have some Auerswald telefone system which I want to configure using their software. Well, I got the software running (It's a Java program) and for the next step I want to choose the parallel port the system is connected to. But then it says that there is no port to choose. So right know I don't know what I have to do to get the parallel port working.
Before I switched to ArchLinux I used Debian and there everything worked perfect almost out of the box. So I guess I need to activate the parallel port somehow to use it in the configuration software.
Does anybody know what the problem is and how I can get it all working? I bought the telefone system only because of the ability to configure it using Linux....
