i've used this tutorial (manual install and then with configuration files)

Now I tried it and it worked, then I unmounted and apparently the keys in the keyring where deleted. Now I think I need to do this:
printf "%s" "KEY" | ecryptfs-insert-wrapped-passphrase-into-keyring /home/username/.ecryptfs/wrapped-passphrase -again. This is kind of a hassle. Can I make this automatic without "destroying" the encryption? And if so, what's a good way?
If I shutdown, do I need to unmount or is that done automatically?
There's also an ecryptfs-mount-private. when I type it, regardless what I type, it says encrypted private directory is not setup properly. What does that mean?
From what I see the ecryptfs documentation is not accessible.
