Problems booting with Plymouth + Luks + LVM

Hi,

I am trying to install plymouth on my system but I am having the following issue. Once I boot and get to the password dialog the password i type appears in the top left hand corner and the password dialog is unresponsive.

This forum post (link) has exactly the same problem however upgrading to the plymouth-git package did not work for me.

I have followed the wiki entry, and read the AUR comments but did not get any solution.

grub.cfg:

GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash"

mkinitcpio.conf

HOOKS="base udev autodetect modconf block keyboard plymouth plymouth-encrypt lvm2 filesystems fsck shutdown"

Please let me know if you need more information. Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you for your time.

Seems like this guy was having the same problem and solved it installing plymouth-git.

Try it and see if it works.
