digiKam 5.0.0: dealing with exact duplicates

Hi,

I usually use Download New option. digiKam 5 did not ask me about skipping the existing photos, and I got a lot of duplicates, all by default, no questions asked. I tried search for duplicates tools, but got a very different set of pics. Looks like just the thumbnails multiplied (?). db regeneration did not change anything. What is the right way of dealing with this routine? Assuming that I seldom, if ever, delete the photos in camera memory.
