Since the recent update of Virtualbox to version 5.1.0-1, the main application window has tiny, ugly fonts, although the virtual machines themselves are normal.
I am using an Openbox desktop, with lxappearance and obconf to configure the desktop. I also have qtconfig and qt5ct installed, but these seem to have no effect. Other qt applications (smplayer, stellarium, openshot) are unaffected.
I would be grateful for any clues about how to fix this.
Thanks in advance

Same font issue here.
I am also experiencing problems with the Virtualbox display with guests. Display artifacts, drawing on only 1/2 of the guest screen, not refreshing the displays, etc. This started at the same time so I'm guessing it's related.

The latest version of Virtualbox needs qt5-X11extras. I am wondering whether the problem lies there?

I saw that thread earlier and checked, and I do have that package installed.

My apologies, Phoric, for not making myself clear.
I was wondering whether there is a problem WITH qt5-X11extras, or with Virtualbox's use of it. Unfortunately, I don't have the expertise to investigate it further myself.
I would also be interested to know whether anyone else is experiencing the same type of problem.

For some reason, changes to QT5 display settings made in QT5CT were being ignored.
Adding
export QT_STYLE_OVERRIDE=gtk2
to /etc/profile seems to fix the problem.
