Bad wireless connections with Intel 8260 on XPS 13 9350

I posted already in the XPS 13 thread, but as it doesn't seem to be a problem for other people it might be better to start an own thread.

Problem:
At around 6-7m distance (without any interference such as too many networks on the same channel, etc.) I get many disconnects. (I tested 3 other laptops and 3 mobiles without any problems. And at different locations I have the same problems.)

Wireless card:
Intel Corporation Wireless 8260 (rev 3a)

Where I am sitting at the moment I have a signal strength around -65 dBm.
I get:

iw event
--------------
wlan0 (phy #0): disconnected (by AP) reason: 7: Class 3 frame received from non-authenticated station

- Same with disabled 11n in modprobe.
- Same with disabled 11n in the router settings.
- Same with iw dev wlan0 set power_save off.
- Same when I disable bluetooth in Gnome.
- With disabled bluetooth in BIOS, it is way way better! But still worth than all other devices that I have here to test.
- Right next to the router I have a signal strength around -40 dBm, and there I don't get any disconnects.

I don't know what else to try!? Any suggestions?

What are you using to control your wireless network?  Netctl? NetworkManager?

Can you please post the output of find /etc/systemd

That all looks sane.  I was checking to see if you had multiple things enabled that might be competing for control of the wireless NIC.  You don't.

Do you have access to the router logs?

Yes I do have access to the log files. But the bad connection is not only here where I am visiting at the moment, but also at work and at home...

The logs don't tell me much though. When I search for my mac address then I find more than 100 entries from today.

Sometimes it registers within 2 seconds again.
But the question remains, why do I have so many disconnects in the first place.

I still have the same problem with my wireless. I was already thinking if it might be defect hardware or so.

Then I just plugged in Ubuntu Live and surprisingly my wireless is really good out of the box, so I don't have the problems described above.

This is the firmware that is loaded in Ubuntu Live:

dmesg | grep firmware
-----------------------
[   14.962457] iwlwifi 0000:3a:00.0: loaded firmware version 16.242414.0 op_mode iwlmvm

This is the firmware that is loaded in arch:

dmesg | grep firmware

[    1.596708] iwlwifi 0000:3a:00.0: loaded firmware version 21.302800.0 op_mode iwlmvm

I also tried to disable NetworkManager and used iw and wpa_supplicant. But I have exactly the same problems as always.
EDIT: And I tried to it with firmware version 16.242414.0 in arch. Problem still persists.

What else could I try???
Just re-installing arch and hope that it is better then, right? Or does someone has another idea what I can still try.
