Freemind and can't see text

There's a bug posted on Freemind's issue tracker for this.

I wonder if any Arch user also has this Freemind problem?

When I'm typing in a new node in the mindmap, I can't see all the text. There's a white margin within the node overlapping the text.

Has anyone come across this and found a solution? I'm running under XFCE. Freemind v1.0.1.
